Growth & Development
A concentrated effort on growth and development is essential for our town moving forward as we have to broaden our tax base not only in our city core but throughout all of Hagerstown. Hagerstown has had some great investments in the past with the Arts & Entertainment district and the University of MD Hagerstown Campus. Going forward, we have to engage our local realtors, embrace our local business community, and encourage additional growth and revitalization. Governor Hogan has declared Maryland is open for business; it’s about time that Hagerstown is open for business as well. Stream lining and reducing the “red-tape” and offering additional grants and tax incentives will only further achieve this goal.
